What is the Silver Fox About?
When our founders noticed a large segment of our senior population was being isolated from compassionate care in the mid-2000s, we began our mission to establish an organization that would truly give our community’s seniors the attention they deserved. In 2007, we happily opened our first location in Baldwinsville and made good on our mission. Ever since, we’ve provided our seniors with fun and fellowship that focuses on heart-centered care and compassion. We not only relieve stress from the caregiver, but genuinely ensure our seniors enjoy rich lives outside of their home in a safe environment.
Today, we’ve expanded our operations with a new center in Manlius found in the beautiful Limestone Commons! Both facilities have their perks, but offer the same promise of community-centered care with plenty of activities that all personalities can enjoy. Whether you need a relaxing lounge or uplifting engagement, Silver Fox has something enriching for each senior. Our professional staff will work with you and your healthcare provider to create an individualized plan, so caregivers in need of respite can be rest-assured their loved ones are truly cared for at the Silver Fox.
All are welcome at the Silver Fox, a home away from home! Our doors will always be open for our members to enjoy the activities, chef-prepared meals and fellowship of the club.
Meet our Staff.
The staff of the Silver Fox Adult Day Centers is composed of experienced and dedicated healthcare professionals with decades of experience. Several of our aides are New York State Certified Home Health Aides and bring with them a caring and personable attitude when assisting seniors with whatever support they may need in their daily routine at Silver Fox. Our staff ensures the same care and compassion you devote to the seniors in your family are reflected in the service at Silver Fox. Our members are treated and respected like family members thanks to the compassion of our loving staff.
Silver Fox is a Social Model Adult Day Program and should not be confused with a Medical Model Adult Day Health Care. Although Silver Fox is not a formal medical practice, our staff consists of Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aides, and a Registered Nurse. Our staff is prepared to provide assistance with activities of daily living such as toileting and transferring, and individualized care plans can be made to accommodate each member’s specific needs.

We Are A Person-Centered Care Community
NCCAP Certification as a Person-Centered Care Community signifies that a majority of staff have received advanced training in person-centered care. Staff have the skills to effectively engage, communicate and interact with those they serve, leading to enhanced physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
The National Certification Council for Activity Professionals was established in 1986 as the official credential of the Activity Profession. To date, NCCAP have educated, trained and certified over 150,000 caregivers to improve quality of life through person-centered care and services.
